The Beretta Gallery stands on the
corner of St James Street and Jermyn
Street in the centre of the West
End. The building was fully refurbished
and converted from a Wine Merchant’s
into the first Beretta Store, or
Gallery as Beretta prefer it to
be known, in the UK.
Externally, the stonework and
windows were cleaned and refurbished.
Internally, the Gallery was completely
refurbished and refitted.
The Gallery boasted many original
period features and, where possible,
the Architect, Mr Barry Paterson,
has combined these features with
the new cabinets and services pertinent
to a luxury brand.
Desertoak completed the work
to a very fast-track programme,
ensuring that the Gallery was open
on time for Christmas trading.
Since the completion of the Gallery,
we have also completed a concession
for Beretta within Harrods and have
continued to maintain the Gallery
on St James Street.
A view of part of the impressive
Gun Room on the Second Floor, which
is fully protected with a Police
backed security system.
Many of the period features remain
in the building, including the plaster
mouldings to the ceilings, wall
panelling and fire places, all which
were fully restored during the project.
Another view of the Gun Room
with its bespoke Italian Gun Cabinets.
TThe Gun Room itself is situated
on the Second Floor, however, there
are also some guns located in display
cabinets/Vitrines on the First Floor.
The original screens make an
ideal back drop to the new displays,
all of which were painstakingly
re-polished as part of the refurbishment.
The impressive Ground Floor and
entrance to St James Street shows
some fantastic original details.
