This fabulous Grade II listed apartment located in one of London’s most prestigious streets has been sympathetically upgraded and completely refurbished.
Desertoak had the pleasure of renovating this stunning Grade II white stucco, double-fronted Italianate Villa at Holland Park, London.
After undergoing extensive acoustic reports our client, who owns both the ground floor and lower ground floor apartments, appointed Desertoak for extensive works to be carried out to rectify the issue.
Alongside specialist acoustic architects, Bickerdike Allen, and a specialist conservation team, Desertoak commenced with the removal of the existing floors and ceilings, replacing the existing insulation with more in-keeping, authentic materials which were far more effectual. In doing so, and practicing traditional methods, the building’s historical and architectural significance was protected.
Considerable refurbishment proceeded with newly installed cornices, walls, skirting, and lighting, all in keeping with the period of this fabulous Grade II listed property.
